the trading sequence sidequest, you
meet a character known as Mr. Write
(who is based on Dr. Wright, the mayor's
advisor in Nintendo's version of Sim
City).
Later
in the game you meet a goat named Christine;
she will give you a letter to take to
Mr. Write. When you get there he shows
you the photo that was inside, but instead
of a goat, the photo is of Princess
Peach from the Super Mario series.

A golden
Princess Peach statue is the game's
plot device, Wario sets out to find
it as he intends to ransom it to her
for the money to buy his own castle.
In the end he manages to find it after
defeating Captain syrup, but Mario flies
in on a helicopter, retrieves the statue
and flies away, leaving Wario behind.
